  • 4 brioche buns

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • Lettuce, tomato, pickle slices

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Butter for toasting

  • Optional: garlic aioli or favorite sauce

Instructions

  • Preheat grill or skillet to high heat.

  • Form beef into 4 loose patties; season just before cooking.

  • Sear patties for 3–4 minutes per side; add cheese during the last minute.

  • Toast buns in butter until golden.

  • Assemble: bun, lettuce, tomato, patty, pickles, sauce, top bun.
