1 lb ground beef (80/20)

4 brioche buns

4 slices cheddar cheese

Lettuce, tomato, pickle slices

Salt and pepper to taste

Butter for toasting

Optional: garlic aioli or favorite sauce
Instructions

Preheat grill or skillet to high heat.

Form beef into 4 loose patties; season just before cooking.

Sear patties for 3–4 minutes per side; add cheese during the last minute.

Toast buns in butter until golden.

Assemble: bun, lettuce, tomato, patty, pickles, sauce, top bun.

Let rest 2 minutes before serving.
