  • â…” cup milk

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 2 tablespoons melted butter

  • Drop spoonfuls of dough evenly over the chicken mixture.

Step 4: Bake

Step 5: Add Garlic Butter Finish

  • Brush generously over the warm biscuits right after baking.

Step 6: Rest and Serve

  • Allow to cool for 10 minutes before serving.

  • Serve warm with a side salad or roasted vegetables.

Notes

  • Shortcut Option: Use pre-cooked rotisserie chicken to save time.

  • Creamier Filling: Add ½ cup heavy cream for extra richness.

  • Spice Boost: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper or Cajun seasoning for a Southern kick.

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare the filling up to 24 hours ahead. Store covered in the refrigerator and bake fresh with biscuit topping.

  • Freezer Friendly: Freeze the entire pot pie (unbaked or baked) for up to 3 months. Reheat at 350°F until bubbly.
